Cherry red with a ruby rim, showing red fruit aromas with smoky, liquorice notes. Clean, fresh and balanced on the palate, with juicy plum, wild berry and subtle oak flavours. Leathery black plum and currant are lifted by vanilla on a harmonious, classic Rioja nose. Smooth tannins support a steady, direct finish that is long, fruity and gently spicy. The vanilla oak complements the warm plum and cherry fruit, creating excellent balance. A very tasty wine. Pair with roast chicken, casseroled white meats, roast beef, vegetable lasagne or Manchego.
